Best factory stereo integration system for 06 tl..

Can any of you radio expert types help me? I've run through many posts here, but I'm not sure what's the best way to go with latest and greatest. TIA.

I'm keeping my car longer than I thought. I guess being the original owner keeps me connected to it.

I want to add android audio streaming for music and video. I want to add new speakers and a nicer amplifier.

I also want to keep the navi voice and all the factory voice activated features of the oem system.

I saw a few devices here and I've seen some nice audio control pieces on other cars. What is the simplest all inclusive way to connect all this and retain oem functionality, while getting great sound?

Can the factory speaker wires be used with adapters and provide good sound?

I've got lots of questions on how to do it once and right.

I'd suggest you go with a Android head unit. Lets you keep the OEM Navi and you will be able to use all the other features of the head unit.
Im going to be installing one in May, and hope to do a nice write up for it.

I was hoping to do everything behind the scenes and keep original look. What are advantages there?

I found out audio control is coming out with a new amp in april with 6 ch capabilty. It has complete sound control and integration options built into one box. It also has Bluetooth built in and you can make adjustments off your phone. I'm probably going this way for those of you looking for an all on one solution, this may be it.

Most Android Auto head units have all the voice features for functionality as well as navigation using Google maps or Waze. If you want to stream video content your phone has to have MHL output or it won't work even with the "special" cables provided. Lastly, if you're only using a moderately powered amplifier to power your speakers the existing factory wire should be ok but if you're planning on a significant upgrade than go ahead and swap it out for some heavier gauge wire.

If you change the headunit, you will lose the factory voice controls but there is a way to retain the nav functions.

That being said, if you're looking to go the Android auto/car play route, you wont need the factory voice controls. I have a Pioneer Nex and can control everything I want with Google assistant.
