Best buy install fail

Just got my car back from best buy. I have a 07 TLS. I had them install and isimple and apparently it wasn't simple. So far, the iPod and iPhone doesn't work with it. And! My dash control buttons don't work for my navi ie menu, setup, audio buttons. And my hfl doesn't work on my steering wheel. WTF.

Unfortunately your first mistake was taking it to best buy. An auctual audio would've been your best bet if one was available. Some Best Buy's have qualified installers but for the most part they all lack the qualifications for simples installations.

had the same thing happen with my car after i installed my isimple and found out the unit was jacked up and was causing the problem. unplugged it and everything worked fine...so before u blame the installation check the unit, make sure the firmware is up to date then go from there.

Those big box stores are the worst installers. Blaming them is still valid. How do you release something where the prime function doesn't work (Iphone Ipod).

Hopefully you'll be able to get this worked out. Good Luck!

blaming best buy isnt actually valid because if you didnt do the firmware update to the unit then it wont actually work with the iPhone, also if you didn't choose the right cable when you gave it to them to install it wont work either. So before you blame the installers make sure you gave them everything that you wanted installed, because mine didnt work with my iPhone either until the right cable was installed.

Ive tried 2 different iphones and 3 different ipods with the latest firmware. So im unsure what you mean by updating the firmware. also, im unsure which cable is the "right cable." could you explain? i bought the isimple product.... handed it over to the installer and let them do their work. i didnt know i had to babysit them.

That's BS. If you pay to get it installed, then it should work when you leave the bay. Who buy's something like this without knowing what product they want to interface it with?

I would expect this if it were a self install.

when they said firmware, i think they were refering to the isimple firmware not the iphone firmware.
