Yep, you read that right. I found this deal on my local craigslist and called up the guy to ask. Its a shop thats been doing that for a while (according to him ) and he said it would work for the camera using my navigation screen. I asked him if its a good set up and he said all cameras are about the same, theres 1 year manufacture warranty. What do you guys think ? should I just have it done by his shop ? could there be any malfunctions to my navigation system in the future ? its parts and labor.

 

I dont think its possible without a doms unit or a nav tool and just that runs around $175-225 without the camera..

 

I think he can tap into the navi on an 07-08. My 06 required a NavTool unit.

 

^i believe you're right...I *THINK* that there is a plug n play option on the 07-08's...

 

ah, so the guy would probably give me another estimate once he sees the model. I doubt he knows the difference between 04-06 and 07-08 models.

Guarantee they have never installed one into a TL much less a car that would need a unit like TVandNavToGo.

Do it yourself, save money, learn a little bit. And if anything ever goes wrong you know what to check and do
