Happy New Years everyone - I have a problem that I just ran into with my 2006 TL Navi's audio system..

Car wouldn't start in the cold today so needed a boost - noticed after that audio wouldn't work at all if I press AUDIO/CD/TAPE/FM, all are unresponsive. But weird thing is the navi system still works.

Tried disconnecting the battery - navi system rebooted and entered the navi code, still nothing.

Any insight would be much appreciated, really don't want to have to replace the whole radio system or upgrade to an aftermarket HU if possible lol.

Whenever the battery dies or is disconnected, the radio code needs to be entered. The small upper screen should prompt you to enter the code.

 

it is not prompting me to enter the radio code however - only the on screen navigation code.

I tried entering the radio code still using the buttons but no luck..

 

PRess the power button and it should say Code on the top display, if it doesn't try disconnecting the battery again. If it still doesn't, then the radio is fried.

 

ah yep finally got it to work. not sure if it was too cold out but I had to let my car warm up before it would do anything after pressing the power button lol. thanks!!
