Hey all,
Anyone know how to unlink your phone from the bluetooth connection, so that you could surf the web on your bluetooth PDA while you're in the car (as a for instance). I didn't find anything in the manual or on the forums. The reason I ask is I have a Sony Ericsson T616 and it holds the bluetooth connection the entire time (it doesn't make the connection only when it needs it).

Just use the command "transfer" and you will no longer be "linked". Say transfer again and you are linked. Now you may have to do this command while on a call.

Right, understand that, but I want to unlink the phone so that I could use it, say, with my PDA while my wife's driving. The T616 maintains the BT connection all the time, instead of connecting it only when needed (like my Nokia 3650 used to do).

By the way, you are right in that you can only "Transfer" while in the middle of a call.

The v710 has a menu option to switch from one profile (TL HandsFreeLink) to another (BJ's Laptop). See where your phone stores your different Bluetooth connections and I'm sure you can assign a keypad shortcut to turn the TL on/off at will.
