anyone add more bass to their TL?

I am looking to add some more bass to my 2005 TL, has anyone already done so? I was thinking of replacing the stock 6 1/2 woofer for an 8" or maybe even a 10" powered.

Suggestions please.

I just added a Kenwood 200w 10" powered sub and it made a big difference. Old sub still in there, but lowered it so it wouldn't distort.

Check it -

Does the factory radio have RCA outputs or did you use an FM modulator?

How much did you pay for the box or did the box and speaker come together in a package?

I had to add RCA's to the sub inputs to the stock amp (do a search for the info here). Easy to do.

You can find the sub for about $250 - $300 at places like Best Buy, but cheaper on the internet.

I got the infinity basslink and had it wired to the sub inputs. The new low-end compliments the factory sound extremely well and I have no rattles during high volume.

I got the basslink on ebay for $199 shipped.

Thanks rs808.
You're right, the added lower frequency really improves the system. The stock sub just couldn't cut it.

I put in the line-out converter to the pre-amp sub leads. I have an hk-602sx 3000w rms/6000 max amp and 2 audiobahn aw-1208t subs with a 'subzone' ported box. I thought it would be great cuz' the box has its ports in the middle- to bump through the ski-pass. BUT my system is kinda overkill and it made me feel like my mids and highs suck, so I took the bass out and rewired the stock sub- go figure

* I now can appreciate the clarity of my system and the balance of the stock amp/speakers setup. As loud as it can go (40) with no distortion, I like~!

So my question to everyone is what are you using as your remote wire going to the amp? what are you connecting it to in the car?
