Amp for 8w7 & Basic questions

I have never had a system in my car, so please bear with me. Okay, so I'm about to buy a 8w7 and already have a custom box for it. I'm having a tuff time, deciding which amp I need.

According to the JL website http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=1 it says to push at least 250w, do I buy a 500w amp and push 400w or 350w? Or do I buy a 400w and push all 400w. I'm on a budget here($150), so with that in mind please help me.

Which amp to buy? There are all these different amps with different channels and what not, and I have no idea which one I need or what they mean.

When I buy an amp do I need one that is friendly with the wiring on the TL? I plan on to disconnect the factory sub & amp and just replace it. I made this little diagram, tell me if this is correct. If not, could someone redraw it?

What other materials do I need to buy? Does any of these materials come with the amp or sub?

Thanks

ummm. its obvious that you dont have alot of experience with installing car audio. i suggest you find a buddy who has some and let him show you how to do it. there is ALOT to adding a sub and amp. the more often you do it you will get better at it but for the first time i would leave it up to the pros or a experienced friend.

I used to have that same sub in my Ram. I had a JL 250.1 and it sounded real nice.
