Check this thread out as well. https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/i-need-some-living-situation-advice-123681/
It discusses a well received app for burning DVD-A and also has discussions about how people are converting DVD-V audio (DD5.1,) to DVD-A. Many are using DVD Audio Extractor.

Adobeman or someone else can told me if i need a 5.1 card in my computer to convert Audio from a DVD VIDEO to wqv

Actually using DVD audio extractor and it seems that even if i choose AC3 6 channel, the different channel have about the same thing except that some have some kind of echoes. Channel 4 nothing for example

To sum up

Does the process of decoding a DVD VIDEO to wav use the sound card ?

thank you

Decoding does not require a 5.1 card, in fact I doubt that it even needs a sound card in the PC. The extract and burn worked fine for the two DVD-V's that I tried, even at 16bit. Even though you selected the AC3 6Ch make sure that you select 5.1 for the output rather than stereo.

What are you using to playback and to compare each channel?

ps. Should'nt you avitar be rotated? It looks like it is heading down for a crash and burn. Nice pic though.

I read each file with Windows media player 10, with no problem

May be because it's David gilmour in concert there's not a lot of difference between separate channel.

As for my avatar i think it was a question of size, i'm going to check this
