Pressing the button for the audio on the Navi does nothing instead of taking me to the audio menu. Every single other button on the Navi works besides the audio one. The speakers work fine and when I checked in the diagnostic screen the audio button does seem to register when I press it. I don’t know why it’s not working and it’s been bothering me for a while. I can’t use the aux or radio and none of the other audio related buttons work. It’s a 07 TL type s

 

I am unsure what you think pressing the Audio button is supposed to do? It takes you to the audio settings. I am not sure I understand your issue

 

That’s the thing when I press the audio button nothing happens it doesn’t take me to the audio settings. I don’t know what’s wrong with it

 

What about the audio buttons on the steering wheel, like mode, channel, etc? Does mode allow you to change modes?

 

Nothing happens when I pressed those buttons. I can’t do voice command either because HFL was disabled by the previous owner. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery but nothing happened.

 

Sounds like the HU to me, that is where those functions are handled. obviously not just a bad switch or others would function.

 

What’s the HU?? Every other button on the Navi like the menu and map/guide works fine.

when you undid the battery, how long was it unplugged for? It should have asked for a security code. If not, radio might be thinking it's stolen and not working. You'll either have to unplug the negative cable for much longer or send the radio in to pioneer for repair.

 

About three weeks ago the battery was unplugged for probably 20-30 minutes because I went to go buy a new battery. After I saw the audio wasn’t working I unplugged the negative cable for about a minute and then plugged it back in. It did ask for a code and I managed to get one from Acura and it was correct. I’ll try leaving the negative cable unplugged for much longer then and see if it works :/

 

So i unplugged the negative cable for about 15 minutes and plugged it back in. Asked for a code and after that it still won’t let me into the audio settings menu. Is there any other fix or is my only option to send it in for repair?
