2008 Acura TL non nav to nav install in Austin

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2008 acura TL....my first car actually..without a navigation system. I have read various threads wherein fellow members have done a install themselves.

I have not done an install and workmanship has not been my area of specialty. I also do not have any tools to do it. I would appreciate if there is someone in Austin that can help me ..in letting me know what to order and then installing the navigation. etc..all the good stuff that comes in a navigation TL.

Thanks,
PK

Being new to the site... I have been looking for information about going from non navi to navi incase when I get a TL its a non navi version...

I see there there are DIY about doing it, but I'm not handy like that.. Id be curious to know how much a shop would charge to do this install.

I have searched all over and the better way to do this that I have found so far is to do a car pc. I just ordered the navi display unit. Now, I need to figure out the car pc part and how to do all of the wiring .... seems like a nightmare...

After reading the cost of doing this... I will either try and find one with Navi.... or I will see about maybe running a Pioneer navi screen...

Just put a 2DIN nav unit in. Cost would be less and the nav would be, ya know, good.
