Buying A OEM Navigation

I know of a place thats selling the navigation unit from the junk yard. What stuff do I need to take out besides the navigation screen. I have a friend that wants to buy it but he doesnt know what to take out. THe junk yard is telling him to take everything he needs. He wants to convert to his non navi tl. He has a 2005 TL. Can someone give me some info. It would be very great. Thanks guys!

the drive, oem harnesses, antenna screen, heat sensors, mic, and a few other things. I think it would be much easier to get the TL traded in than to the intall. just my

There are a few non-nav to nav threads floating around. I remember seeing one indicating the different wire harnesses.

This is from the Garage:

I-142: DIY: Completed 04 TL non-navi to navi conversion

This is a very doable swap as we have seen posted here. I'll have an 06 nav system for sale too....once I figure out how to get the new system with NavTraffic....

You're welcome.

Make sure you also look at the wiring harnesses. There was one thread that talked about it, but unfortunately on my last attempt, I couldn't find it. It was titled "navi conversion complete/done" or something like that.

Good luck!
