06 Nav to 07 non nav conversion?

06 Nav to 07 non nav conversion?
Anyone have any idea how easy it would be to convert an 06 navi to a 07-08 non-nav? I bought an 06 TL where the nav is just black and no sound comes on. I took apart the dvd rom to clean it and honestly that thing was spotless inside so idk if it's the laser
