06 vs 07 Nav Difference

Looks like I'm going to buy a TL tomorrow, but I was wondering what the difference between the 06 Nav and the 07 Nav, my main question is does the 06 Nav have the Real Time Traffice with the Xm Radio.

I had an 06 and traded in for the 07 TL-S. The biggest differences in the Navi are real-time traffic, quicker interface, more features, better voice commands (don't have to type in the street address/name), etc. I like the 07 Navi way better.

WOW! Just curious: Was it much of a financial hit to trade so early in your finance period? Were you leasing? I love my 2006, but if I could get into the 2007 for the same price, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

I didnt see it as a big hit. I purchased my 06 a year ago and paid $33,600 and received $28,500 as a trade. Plus in AZ you only pay sales tax with a purchase on the difference between the new car and trade in amounts, which saves a lot on the tax. I purchased the 07 TL-S for 1K under MSRP.

I know the navigation book lists some of the commands, but where can one find all the voice commands??? Also, why if navi is set for Auto (display) it still shows day screen at night, the time is correct because it knows its at night.

The real time traffic is available in my area so ill be able to check it out (ft lauderdale). But it might take 3 months to figure out all the stuff it does.

on the info screen it has an option for voice commands.
Turn the headlights on and put the gauge cluster brightness down one, you will see the screen turn dark.
Turn off, it should turn to day mode.

Do you have to "voice" your way through a zillion options to get to street entry, or can you simply say from the main screen "find XXXXX street?"
