I'm wondering if some of the headliner issues we're seeing are on cars that spend a lot of time in the sun.
, my 96' 4runner has always been garaged (until i got TL). 4runner has 57k miles on it and besides the minor door dings it is still like brandnew...

My father gave me a 9-yr-old Grand Marquis that had always been garaged. It looked like new. Unfortunately, I did not have access to covered parking at the time, and the perfect 9-yr-old dashboard began to rot within months.

I won't buy a home where people park on the street. It's one of the first things I look at when house hunting.

Garaged at home and work.

I park a LS430 on the streets.

I just picked up my new TL on Monday, and driving it into my garage for the first time after a "quick" hundred mile joy-ride from the dealership was possibly the most frightening experience of my life. I previously owned a Cherokee, and it was apparently much more narrow than My Precious, with better sightlines down the hood and to the corners. Of course, with 165k miles on her, I didn't mind if I nicked a quarter panel or clipped a splash guard on the way in, either. My garage door entrance is at a right angle to my driveway, so it's a *very* hard left to park the car.

So anyway, this weekend I plan to foam-pad my entire garage, I think, and maybe adorn it with a few tennis balls hanging from the rafters for good measure. And, of course, get an Ambien prescription to help me with the stress dreams...

Heated garage for my car. Getting into a warm car in the winter makes a world of difference.
