OK, I got a call today from XM, they offered me $5.99 per month if I signed back up (since my XM expired in Jan) on my TL.
If you can wait a few months, this may be a better deal.

so you can sign a one year? I don't see that listed as an option on their website. I'd rather commit to a 1 year than 2. Also, I dont want to have to write a monthly check either, which is why i'd be interested in just paying~100 for the year up font.

No name given, they called me at work, said specifically that if I accepted today for the "TL", they could offer $5.99 a month for a year. Sorry, I did not take it, no extra info except this and the first post.

I was just reading this thread about XM, when the phone rings offering me the 5.99 deal. Mine had expired around a month ago and hadn't renewed yet.
... Well the deal is 5.99 for three months, after that its back to 9.99 per month, but you can cancel at anytime, plus they waive the re-activation fee also... I went ahead and renewed with the special, glad I waited a bit to renew. Well, I guess its just a 12 dollar saving plus the reactivate fee, but I guess I can put it towards a few gallons of gas!

Hey guys, it's the end of the month / quarter for XM. They are probably out to get subscribers to beef up their number for the quarter. I would call back today and ask them about it immediately. I already renewed mine, darn it.

I mean I see people bitchin in some threads about XM and the stuf fon it and the sound quality...
I think it is GREAT... and no matter how much bitchin is done... lets remember a time not too long ago before we had our TLs when we had a handful of Am and FM stations to choose from all playing the same boring songs when they werent playing 20 minutes of commercials in a row...
It's funny when I tell friends abou it and they say "I dont listen to radio"! i always say.. YEA WHO WOULD!. but XM is not the same as radio at all!!
I dont know how ANYONE can say XM is not the greatest radio invention in their lifetime!!!

I'm on a month-to-month commitment, so I'll see whether an established account can get this deal.
