Without seeing or driving

I'm pretty amazed at all the people who are ready, willing and able to buy a car they have never seen or test driven. There is no doubt that "on paper" the 04 TL is a fine car but until you see it in person and drive it, how can you know for sure that it's right for you? I've been to lots of auto shows over the years and zeroed in on a number of cars I'd like to consider owning only to realize that there wasn't enough head room or it was smaller than I thought or...something. The new TL is my leading choice for my next car but I wouldn't dream of committing to one without a first hand checkout. What do you think?

Well, you are right.
But, i have something called trust in Acura, and whatever they come out with is just great.
I own a 2003 TL-S, and I love the car to death, but imagine having what you have in a 03 TL-S in addition to all the new gadgets for a very low price.
Come on, it a winning deal to me

My deal is dependent on the outcome of the test drive. If I don't like it, deal is off, and this car has enough buzz to it that someone will definitely buy if I'm not interested.

Chances are, I will like....

Besides, you have to put a deposit down in order to receive the car in a reasonable amount of time. If you put down a deposit now, your car will be available in late Oct. or Nov. or even later unless you are willing to drive a long distance.

I have an 03 TLs and with the 04 being sold around $33K, it would be very hard to convince me to jump on the 04. The dealer called me to schedule a test drive but I would have to be very impress with the changes to spend at least another 10K for the upgrade.

I actually don't like some of the new features on the 04 that may have driven the price up too much IMHO. For those of you who test drove the 04, does it handle/drive that much better than the 03 TLs.

With all the hype on the 04 right now, people are probably paying msrp or more and it will make more sense to wait a few months when you can get one below msrp. I know everyone's situation is different but at that price, is the TL the "best value"?

BTW, I am taking delivery for the 04 MDX Touring/Nav in two weeks so it's kinda hard to justify spending an extra $10K at the moment.

Well, I think certain brand of the cars, I will not even waste my time to think about it.
If you like the specific one, you will find billions of reasons to try to get that dream car.
On the other hand, if you dislike the car even with the billions of right reasons, you won't even think about it.

Cars like... K!A, ..... :yack:
