Anyone know of any good tint shops located in either the southwest suburbs (Orland Park) or western suburbs (Oak Brook)?

A friend of mine recommended Midwest Glass Tinters in Oak Lawn. Thier phone number is 708-425-4480. He has had about 10 cars done by them over the last dozen years and keeps going back so they must do a good job. When I called, they said the tinting they use has a lifetime warranty. They estimated the TL tinting at about $240.

Based on the other estimates, this is a reasonable price.

 

I got a guy who does it on the side for pretty cheap...he did my previous cars (IS300 & G35 Coupe) and it turned out flawless...he's located out in Carol Stream and warranties his own work....

WAY OVERPRICED.

I paid 160 for tints on the North Side. The place is pretty good, have used them on a few cars. I have had issues but they always fix them.

 

Ziebarts (spelling?) near Belmont & Odgen does a great job. They have been in business 20 plus years---just changed their name a few times. I had mine done a year ago and they look great and there is a lifetime warrenty for any defects whatsoever. I believe it was $250ish to have all 5 windows done.

I did 32%, just a little, not like the last car I had (22%).

do you guys get hassled by the cops? i'm paranoid after i got about 6 tickets for not having the front plate on. i hate richard daly with a burning passion.

 

I run the front plate, it's not worth getting pulled over.

My 32% tint is a bit noticeable, but not hugely. my old 22% was very noticeable.

 

I had a Legend for 10 years prior to trading it for a TL last week with tinted windows all around and no front license plate. I wasn't pulled over once for either.

 

So what is it worth to have to go back a couple of times to have your issues fixed? I'd rather have it done right the first time. The last tint at this shop lasted almost 10 years and 180,000 miles.

Considering on my last car the "issue" was a friend of mine accidentally slicing the tints with his key, and they fixed it for free. The car before there weren't any.
