window regulators/leather?

Question to all you '04 TL owners,

have you guys had any of your window regulators changed or fixed *under warranty*?.
I have had two and going on three replaced.

Here is how it happens, a couple of times I noticed the windows in the front making a slight grinding noise or jsut awkward noise that I thought should not be there. Took it in to the dealer for oil change and casually brought it up and they said they would take a look. well this happened on my left rear window also, and dealer said the same thing "we will take a look" anyway each time it resulted in my making an appointment to get the window regulator changed. Anyone else experience this with their windows? And what the hell is a window regulator, i always forget to ask them since they are swapping it out for free.

and on the same token has anyone else had their leather replaced due to cracking/wrinkling? I did!!!

The window regulator is the thing with gears and arms that connects the window to the motor that opens and closes the window.

I have not noticed any problems in the past reported in this forum, as far as I can remember.

I have heard the same noise before from both front windows. It hasn't done it for a while, so I kinda forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder though. I will have them look at it the next time I have the oil changed.

i've had the same problem....my passenger side window's regulator/sensor was messed up....the window would go up an inch and then automatically come back down...i complained to the manager at the dealership and they fixed it...at the same time, they replaced the driver side motor/regulator/sensor because i thought that the window was going up slower than it normally did...but no leather cracking problems as of now...

My windows make that grinding noise too when the car's been parked in hot weather. Otherwise it still works okay.

My front pass window is currently making a grinding noise also. The dealer has the part on order. Maybe I should have them check the rest of them when I take it back in if people or having the same problem on multiple windows.

Window Regulators - Going in 6th time

I have never posted...but am a big fan of the site (both before and after buying my TL).

I first noticed the problems with the windows at about 10k miles. Noise got worse and worse and finally I brought it in (1st visit). They greased the regulators made it better for a day or two. Went in again (2nd visit) and had them "adjust" them again. They greased the crap out of the regulators (and windows) Had to go back and have them use a razor blade to clean them (3rd visit). Still squeeked, went in again (4th visit) and I demanded they replace the regulators, which they did (visit #5). After another 10k miles I noticed a little squeaking....went away. Was out with a client today, rolled down the windows and BAM full blown grinding and squeeking. I was actually embarrased of the car. I have noticed that with other cards after a car wash if you roll the windows down they smear the water on the windows...not with this one. I don't think the rubber seal works to prevent water/dirt from entering inside of windows.

I don't mind the leather problems, but the damn windows, don't know what to do. Gotta run and call the dealer. I will let you know how Acura resolves the problem.
I have faith in the dealer and the company.

Sorry for the long post, just had to let it out!
Thanks for all the great posts!

I've had window regulator problems with my '94 Honda DelSol, but none with any Acura I've ever owned...I'm on my 4th now with no problems.
