Who has a vented hood?!?!

well I was bored today and I started reading the article about the Team Honda Research Acura TL for Thunderhill 24 hr race... i picked up a line "the vented hood helped cool the coolant for up to 40 degrees(F)"... then i am like WTF... i need it bad...

I remember seeing someone has it in the forum before... any idea?

And i think itz something that is worth everyone's money!!! (just make sure u change hood in cold winter LOL or else u won't get enough heat)

Its a CAI on the V8 M3 not a vent. They vent out the fenders

I've seen the hood in person when i was at VIR back in the fall of 07. All they did to make the vent is cut it and bend the metal down. Then they added the small trim piece that goes around the front of the vent. So basically we can all do this ourselves.

rain gets in there with or without vents... but I doubt it would cause any damage... I mean the amount of rain that would get it isn't like flood warning type stuff... unless you drive through a monsoon, in which case I'd hydrolock first... thinking of doing it just in the center tho...

Definitely going to try and complete the vents on mine as in the s2000 link. Seen those in person and they look nuts. Ever since, I've been wanting to do that.
