We do have one. Two actually but they're horrible imo. They can be removed so yours might be missing.
They're on the front door pockets. Towards the back there are two slots the holder slides into.

mine go on my head. i don't leave anything of value for long periods of time in my car...including my sunglasses. i've had cars in the past broken into in front of my house (at my mom's) and had my stuff taken. hence no more leaving valuables in the car unnecessarily.

I actually like having the sunglasses holder there.
I prefer to reach down rather than in front of the rear-view mirror, thus blocking the view backwards, like the sunglasses compartment on our Odyssey.

Seriously? Coming from the same person who just custom wired puddle lights and has more mods than you can shake a stick at...
Only because I'd hate to see a garage door opener in your car. From an old thread.

Press and hold the two outer buttons on the homelink for 20 seconds so it clears it's memory. Press and hold the desired homelink button along with your garage door opener button at the same time until the LED starts flashing rapidly- should be about 3-5 seconds. Test it. If it opens your garage door, success. You're done. If it doesn't, you have a rolling code, keep reading. Now, get on a ladder and press the red "learn" button on the rear of your garage door motor. Run your ass back down to your car and press and hold the homelink button you just stored the garage door opener code to. The LED light should put on a light show indicating its all set. Press the button to test.

^^ He's fooling around. I know because his "breifcase" is an old beat up cigar box. And he keep Monpoly money in it. I've seen; this is truth.

Agree. Lame. I like the flip-open holders in the overhead console better.
I "store" my sun glasses on the bill of my hat. Occasionally in the center console.

In the pocket holder in the door....

One advantage to the door sunglass holder - I think its a cooler place than the overhead holder near the dome light.
On my 99 accord, I stored my serengetis in the overhead holder and over the summer, the heat started melting the rubber nose piece. Serengeti repaired for $15, and I stopped putting them up there when parked in the summer sun.
Seems better in the door holder.

I ditched the rubber holders and use a sunglass case holding glasses in spot where holder would go in door pocket. This works great an preserves the thought the Acura designers had. My wife has the overhead sunglass holder and that works as long as you have glasses that fit in it's limited size envelope. I like the TL solution better since my Smiths don't fit in the Pilot holder.

The sunglass holder in the TL-S is a complete joke to me and one thing that irritates me every single day I drive the car. I came from a 2003 Accord V6 that had the best overhead sunglass holder to a much newer and is suppose to be a more luxurious car and it has a true piece of crap sunglass holder. If that isn't bad enough the inferior cup holders were a shock to me as well when I first got into the car. How could an older 2003 Honda have perfect spring loaded cup holders that were perfection and then the newer Acura have old style cup holders that don't grap your cup and hold it in place. Both of those two things still amaze me.
Trying to always reach down beside the seat to either try and put the sunglasses in or try to take them out without getting fingerprints on the lens is a true pain. Just plain strange that they came up with that terrible design.

everything is automatic with the TL. i can sit in the black-pleather driver's seat and make every inch of the car jump, by touching the proper buttons. it is a wonderful machine. 24grand worth of gimmicks and big-priced special effects. the sunroof leaps up with a touch, like frogs in a dynamite pond. the sleek, aerodynamic styling ran up and down like a roller-coaster. the steering column is full of esoteric lights & dials & meters that i would never understand...but there is no doubt in my mind, i am in a superior machine.
thanks for the tip, craig. i'll try it out tonight.
word to the wise, eh? that's my last name...

Keep Right Except to Pass
I wasn't sure what "u" and "ur" in the subject line meant.
I keep my sunglasses in their case that came with them and I put that in the driver's side door pocket, but not in the "sunglass holder" thing that came with the car. I keep a Swiss Army knife in that thing because it fits perfectly. The case for my regular eyeglasses normally goes in the lower portion of the center armrest (only when I'm in the car, of course, though I generally leave it there if I go into the grocery store or the courthouse or whatever). An exception is if I don't have my sunglasses in the car at all (usually because I took them out to wear while driving one of the other cars and didn't put them back due to crappy weather....this most recently happened yesterday) and then I just put the regular eyeglass case in the door pocket.

lights were easy, it's all these "OEM" functions i have a hard time with.

I understand the frustration with understanding all the complex features. It took me the longest time to figure out how to change the blinker fluid. Finally got around to it last week...man does the car run so much better!

did you go with a synthetic or did you just stick with regular fluid? idk if there's a major difference or not.
