What's the mileage on your 3G? Still going strong?

Just bought 04 TL with 140K. Needs clutch replacement. Other than that and the shoddy used car lot it came from, car seems great. I say seems because I bought the car a week ago, clutch went out in three days, not abusing it, and shifting properly. First noticed slippage in fifth gear on the way home after signing all papers "AS IS". Got it for 5500.. parts and labor 1000$. Then two new tires will be needed as well.

I went ahead and ordered it (https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/acura,2004,tl,3.2l+v6,1429130,transmission-manual,clutch+kit,1993 Luk RepSet) myself. It was 100$ cheaper than what they said they could get it for. When I told them I'd order one myself they said to make sure it was Luk. So I have confidence (somewhat) in them. Especially if the car needs a flywheel. B&W transmission in Hampton, VA.

2007 TL, 120k miles.
Hit a really nasty pothole 1.5 months ago...cracked the radiator and disconnected trans fluid lines. Had that repaired. Then this weekend was accelerating from a stop and heard a pop! Then the car was just disabled. Wouldn't go forward or reverse. Turned out it was a broken CV axle. I had felt like something was a little off after the radiator repair, but just chalked it up to out of balance wheels/dented rim after the pothole.Pretty sure the CV axle was tied to the pothole, just took some time for it to go from weakened to broken.
Only real defect issues I've had since ~60k when I bought the car were a failed bluetooth module around 80k, and then a failed AC compressor clutch relay around 110k that was a headache because it drained my battery. Other than those two things, car has been rock solid. And both of those things were very cheap and easy repairs. Relay was a pain to trackdown, but turned out to be basically nothing....$7 part.

08 with navigation package, doing pretty well at 170k miles. The ORIGINAL timing belt lasted through me finding having cash to have it replaced at 168k miles, and I'm doing the first replacement of the upstream O2 sensors (B1S1 went bad), and I had to replace the alternator some 40-60k miles back. Otherwise, doing pretty well, especially for the fairly poor maintenance I've done for it. For the moment I'm just trying to figure out the whole range of maintenance I need to catch up on that just isn't common knowledge (like those transmission pressure switches, etc.). I'd happily sail this car into the sunset, besides the fact that the fuel mileage could be much better, and I need higher clearance for off road arrival to trailheads.

08 TL Type S AT with Navi
95000 miles... bought it just over two years ago with 79000
So far I've done the following...
new upholstery on all seats
koni orange shocks and eibach springs installed ... plus alignment and spacers for camber
switched tires to Michelin super sports
new water pump, timing belt, tensioner
flushed all fluids
buffed lens covers of headlights to look new
power steering pump
Valve adjustment
spark plugs
one engine mount replaced
amp, subwoofer and all new Infiniti speakers
Seems like a lot now that I type it all out but I love the car and the pride that comes with keeping something beautiful

06 TL 6MT - bought with 106k four years ago, now right around 206k.
Did timing belt when I first bought it (negotiated cost off purchase price), just did timing belt again. Everything has been kept stock, only really change oil when it tells me to, air filters, fluids, etc. Has been a great car! About to replace shocks/struts and refurb suspension a bit.

Just got it back from its second rear end collision in its life. First time $2500 this time $2750 to get fixed. It has 304,000 miles on it so was shocked insurance fixed it this last time. It will need new front breaks, all new tire, and it needs a right front axle before the summer is over. I have over 130,000 miles on my tires now Continental eco +. Had the continental DWS before and had about 100,000 on them when the side walls started failing. Had pressure sensor switches replaced, starter replaced (the only time the car has never started I replaced the dash a couple of years ago, replaced the windshield twice. replaced the power door locks on driver and passenger side. disconnected the blue tooth because it drained the battery. Replaced the cruse control on the steering wheel the buttons broke ( I use it all the time for my commute) The big question I am having now is do I keep it? Should I put the $3000 in it before next winter. one thing that happened this winter was when it was very very cold out the transmission would not go into 1st gear sometimes. If I would just let the car sit for a couple of seconds it would go. It only does this when it is in the 20's. not sure if this is the start of the end or just old age and the fluid having a hard time circulating. I will post picture when I can it looks great still. I drive 100 miles a day half highway speed and the half stop and go. Any people in the community at 300,000 + miles like me? whats you millage and how is it going?

2008 TL-S with 40,500 miles. I recently had the timing belt and water pump replaced. I had to replace the throttle position sensor a few months ago. I just had Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires installed and they are great.
I need to get a new cup holder as the sliding door broke but other than that the car has been great.
Here is my car on a recent trip to Palm Springs in February.

Been a while since I posted. My son has been driving the car away at college. The 2008 TL Type S now has just over 341, 000 miles and is still running great. Just had the timing belt service completed for the 3rd time. Outside of normal maintenance, the car is all original with the exemption of the radiator replaced at 297K and the alternator replace at 335K.

But you, sir, have given me something to aspire to. 340k is amazing, and that car looks pristine! May I ask what type of oil/filters you've been running? That seems to be a popular topic around here, and I don't want to hijack this thread so if you want to just PM me that'd be fine (assuming the system will let you - I just registered). I'm moving to Denver and am thinking about running Redline 0w-40 as per IHC's suggestions in other threads. Overkill, I know, but your wheels aren't falling off at 340k and I'd like to get there too.
Thanks!

No problem. For the oil, I buy whatever is on sale at Walmart as long as it’s Full Synthetic 5W20( This includes Walmart’s brand) The last few yearsI been using Valvoline or Walmart’s 5w20 Full Synthetic 5W20 HighMileage . I also changed the oil at 30% of oil life.( Around 6,000 to 6,500 miles). The oil filter, I used Honda brand, A1 for half of the oil changes and Union Sangyo the last few years. As for transmission fluid, I used Honda brand for the 1st 100k and have used Castrol Import after that. I change the trans fluid every 25k. I have only done 1x1 fluid changes. I’m sure Redline makes good products, but I have never had a need to purchase their products. I personally would stay away from 0W40. There is no need or benefit from using it in your car. I hope this helps.

2005 Acura TL Auto, bought it about 2 years ago with just over 100k, it is about to reach 120k now. I have kept it stock for the most part and has been a beauty. Other than the times I've had to repair it, which happens more often than I would like it too thanks to a lousy owner before me, but it still drives like its new. Just got past a Head Gasket scare, hoping to reach over 300k some above me have.

Recently bought an '08 Acura TL-S 6MT with about 133K miles.
Just had the timing belt/water pump serviced along with the front/rear rotors and break pads.
Running STRONG! Probably have another 200K miles ahead....

Mine is still running like a champ.
88,000 km on the odo. Purchased it three years ago with 34,000 km. Was a trade-in to an Acura dealership, the proverbial old lady who barely drove it.
Other than insurance, gas, preventative maintenance and consumables there have been no issues of any kind. Haven't even reached the pump/water tank repair mileage yet.
The car is 11 years old but people who don't know their cars think it's half or even a third of that age.
Took it on a cross-Canada trip, Toronto to Vancouver Island and back, a distance of 9600 km. Needless to say, the 3G TL is an excellent touring car: comfortable, powerful, safe, with great highway mileage. Upon my return had it checked out and no issues: not even suspension wear.
Over the past couple of years I've been tempted to get something newer: a refreshed TLX A-Spec SH-AWD, perhaps, but the practical side of my automotive brain says I should keep it. There's not much that a modern car can do or can give me that my old TL doesn't already provide.

Our 2004 TL, 128K, still running great after 14 going on 15 years. Acura dealer has been telling me since 2014 that the Rear Main Seal is leaking and should be replaced. In 4 years it has not dropped a bit of oil on the pavement and I've never had to add oil??? Now they tell me the Power Steering Pump and Steering Rack are leaking. I've heard that the service departments of a dealership carry the financial load, but am not willing to contribute at this point.
