What's the mileage on your 3G? Still going strong?

yum
235k Miles as of today. Takes a lot of abuse in stop and go traffic since I moved to Raleigh, NC, not to mention weekly trips back home on the weekends (200 miles there and back). Not many issues outside of wear and tear items - within last 50k miles: timing belt ,tensioner and water pump, alternator, valve cover gaskets, brake fluid service, spark plugs, and one motor mount. Otherwise nothing but oil changes, brakes, tranny drain/fill and tires. Also lowered on Tein Street Basis coilovers paired with SPC ball joints and rear control arms. No signs of slowing down!
ohhhhhhhh the color makes the body oh so pretty... gotta silver f2004, but black also delicious. Yum

Canadian MPG with AT on 2004 TL
Oil change record WITH ME, dunno with original owner, is 5000kms as per other cars Ive owned... but half the time I also wind up letting it slide until almost the Acura's 'maintenance minder' gets too annoying to ignore any more to 'change oil soon'.
New plugs first time that I know of, DIY again, also reported in Azine.
I dont drive like a dik, track everything with OCD intensity, this is the mileage I get.
Doesnt burn enuf oil to waste time raising the level for the little amount its down, between Rx oil changes.
While I record everything in native 'denomination' of measures, I still prefer seeing the pre metric days MPG. Wah to the metric world.
Also. Leather interior, heated seats, was garaged all its life, well over half its life it never touched snow/town deicing crap.
Was actually pretty COMFY sleeping in the front seat for the Freedom Convoy Coutts gathering we freedom loving trucker supporting Canadians went to.
My body doesnt do 'sleeping in the car' stuff much any more, got achy any way, but glad wasnt front seat of 92 Corroda or older 84 corroda (which I slept in the fold down liftback area NO PROB tho, and would again if needed to... like blinding storm too dangerous to continue driving in, all those years ago)

Original owner of my 06 TL. 76K miles. For years the car was only driven 1-2 times per month. Sat outside pretty neglected. I have now come to realize what a great car this is. On the plus side, I did keep up with regular maintenance. I have a certified Acura/Honda mechanic who is the only person to work on the car. Last year the transmission would not shift correct so that was overhauled. Car runs great. I'm starting to work on the interior. Going to get a coverlay for the dash and reupholster the seat bottoms.
Once the weather warms up I will start the paint correction process

Claybar and update on my 04TL
Rickmiller:
I claybarred my 2004 TL a couple yrs ago, had just basic user waxing swirls so not like it was damaged a lot, MAN the clay did AMAZING job.
I would recommend everyone clay their car every ten yrs or so
Love the results
As for my beauty as she is 1000 kms away from the 200,000 mark, apart from the replacement parts posted about a couple yrs ago thanks to that ##!($ deer strike, not much has changed.
Clock accurate now, Navi wont work with calendar stuck in pre-2004 year and wont load the 2004 Navi disk cuz computer thinks its existing years earlier than disk, and only just this month the airbag warning light is becoming a worry.
It sticks on after the warning light test on startup is done and all the other lights fade out.... SOMETIMES
The OBDII device doesnt pick it up as an issue or MIL or anything...
And of course it doesnt stay stuck for the next couple dozen start ups, so very hit/miss/erratic/irregular...
Began using the CRC heavy duty marine anti corrosion spray on under carriage after a real good underbody wash... plan to use one more can before this winter. Seems to preserve the iron very well.

Bought new and 155k miles, still going strong. A few issues (cracked dash, all the seat bottoms need to be replaced, HFL Bluetooth inoperative, XM inoperative). Still on original clutch, recently replaced the starter. Paint still looks great for almost 20 years, 20th anniversary in Feb 2025
