What size bulbs do I need for an HID kit to replace my fogs?
I know they are a 9006/HB4, but someone on here said H11. Just wondering if the H11 was shorter and fit better or something. I apologize mods if you think this is a waste of a thread, but I just want to know I'm ordering the right kit, and I'm trying to order it right this second
I have a 2004 TL and I'm referring to the fogs in the main headlight assembly.
Thanks!

we have bi-functional HIDs. there is a shutter that moves out of the way when you flash your high beams in the low beam headlights. the fogs are just that - fogs. your low and high beams are in the same projector housing.

i know. that's wrong. 9006 is just the fogs. the reason that (and a lot of people out there) gets confused as a high beam i think is because you rarely see a car whose foglights are in the same location as high beams on most cars.
so automatically, most people assume the TL is on high beams when the OEM fogs are on. i cant tell you how many times Ive been flashed by oncoming cars when i still had regular bulbs in the OEM fogs in my car, only to get them blinded by the HIDs when i respond back.
have someone sit in your car parked and have them turn the headlights and the foglights on. you should see all of them lit facing you. then have them flash the high beams. the inner ones (aka the "high beams" most people assume) will go out and the low beams will become brighter (you will also hear a distinct or faint click of the shutter moving away).

Thanks, and yeah, when I finally realized I had fogs and turned them on, someone flashed me! with regular bulbs mind you
can't imagine how many times I'm gonna get flashed when I install my 5000K fog kit.... muahahahahahahaha
just hope when I flash them my real brights, they will be brighter than the fogs LOL

my bad. i did double check and you're right - H8 not H11.
im curious, because I looked at them and they look almost identical, except for the fins that connect to the base.
my accord fogs use H11, which puzzles me more that Honda would switch to a different bulb for a similar lower foglight.
