What should I look for at delivery?
I have been reading this forum with regularity for the past few weeks. In a couple of days I am taking delivery of my Anthracite/Quartz/Navi/5AT.
What are some of the things I should look for at the final inspection, before accepting delivery? (I have not bought a new car in over 10 years, so I am somewhat clueless.) The dealer is about an hour's drive from where I live, so I'd rather not have to make a trip back to fix some small problem that I could have found before accepting the car.
Thanks!

This might be minor, but look for the plastic caps that cover the screws that hold on the front lic. plate. If you don't wear the front plate, the exposed screws look bad. They should be in the glove box.
You might check the thread above on known issues with the car. Otherwise look for:
Good fit among the body panels
HVAC working
Cargo net in spare wheel well
Paint defects
Otherwise, have fun, it's a great car!!

Look for good fitment of bodykit thas if u got one on it..
Look for scratches on the rims and the around the door handle area..
Look for dings and dents around the bumpers and its corners..

Say we find those issues with the car we are supposed to buy - do we tell the dealer to fix those right off the bat or ask for a "new" one? (even if it means waiting for their next allotment?)

If they try and get you to take a unit where there are obvious dents or defects, you are dealing with the wrong dealer. Any problems like that should have been picked up in their pre-inspection and they should have called you before you even went over.

All of the information I'm picking up from this forum is going in my handy toolkit for dealing with the car dealerships... too bad no one has a Anthracite/Ebony w/Navi in right now.
