Weird sound when accelerating

i own a 2008 acura tl with 148k miles and im not sure if its had bearings of the wheel but this problem happened like an hour ago when i was driving and when i started to accelerate when i noticed a ticking sound every-time i accelerated. The ticking sound doesnt start at a specific time i accelerate but more when i accelerate and the car just starts to move with no gas basically letting off the gas and the car jus goes by itself. Can anybody tell me anything that could lead to this ticking sound?

Is the noise speed dependent? Can you hear it occur only when the wheels are rotating? If this is the case then its most likely drive train dependent.

If you slow down can you tell if its coming from a certain part of the car with your windows down? Is it a ticking sound, or does it turn into a grinding sound at lower speed? Need a little more info to diagnose.

You may need to throw the car up on jack stands and rotate each wheel individually to see if you can locate where the noise is coming from.

So out of the last like 2 hours, it only happens when the wheels are rotating at like 20 mph or more. I did multiple tests like gassing it, slowing down while it's ticking and nothing changes. the only thing that changes is the ticking sound slows down when the mph slows down like for an example the ticking sounds starts to be a rapid ticking sound around 40-50 mph. No grinding sounds or any weird sound happens besides that. and what do you mean by the drive train dependent? its like worn out or did I cause the damage somehow?

Think, I have that kind of sound coming from passenger side for a while. My mechanic said it's one of the pulleys probably. It's 2 years since it started. It doesn't change.

If it happens only with the wheels rotating above 20mph, increases as the speed increases (independent of engine rpm) but makes no grinding noises, it's likely something mechanical brushing against either your axles or wheels. Since there's no noise until 20mph, look for something loose, like a shield, or something that would flex under the wind resistance.

Also, check to see if your CV boots might be torn. Possibly when the axle rotates the centrifugal force forces the torn boot to whack against something??
Look for CV grease spread around on the underside.
Just spitballin' here...
