The weekend projects.

Plastidiped grill

Surprisingly you can take it off without taking off the bumper with a 7mm socket. I also lost a socket somewhere in the bumper.

Painted Caliper

After several tries with masking using stickers I just ended up clearing over stickers. Masking was nothing but a disaster.

I only finished one, but it's coming along.

Painted wheels

Of course I needed to do the center caps too.

It's all drying overnight. I'll get pics of it all together later.

Wheels back together after drying overnight.

Paint is duplicolor wheel paint. I "think" its their graphite, but I need to check the code on the can, I bought them a long time ago and never got around to doing much. The center caps I painted the silver in with model paint (Vallejo game color silver). Paint is easy, prep is the work with the wheels. I'll finish the other two tonight. I only have to jackstands so could only leave one end of the car off the ground overnight. Can't wait to see the calipers with the new wheels. I think I'm going to order some H&R sport springs as well. I already have an A-spec lip on the way.

Not right now, I just snapped the one on the way to work. I'm planning on finishing up tonight and will take more once I have the fronts done. They are glossy. I used a glossy clear on them in several coats. Not sure if you can get a matte clear coat specific to wheels.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys.

Gotcha ! Well regardless looks pretty damn good. I think I will be doing this shortly . What kind of clear did you use ? I want them to be glossy and not a matte finish.

VHT gloss clear for wheels. I think duplicolor makes a gloss clear as well.

The gold calipers look good, GB. Now lower it and they'll look even better.

H&R Springs are on the way. Probably be a couple weeks before I can find the time to do the drop though.

Can't. I work in Chicago and they have a rather draconian tint ordinance with a $250 fine. Worse yet, it was challenged in court and was upheld in appeals 4 days ago.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words.

That's too bad about the tint! That would've made the car look awesome! But that sideshot is sexyy!!

The caliper paint is the VHT burnt copper engine paint in case people are searching for the color.

The grill looks great, do you have wider shots so we can see the whole front of the car? Looks like something that would only look good on black TLs

Love the color of the wheels and how they're glossy. Does anyone know how this would look on AM?

There are a ton of threads on plastidip here. You can find different colors/patterns there.

I think they'd look great. Anthracite/graphite looks good on AM I think. Actually Its probably the one color that tends to work well on just about any color car.

The only thing I would have done differently is black Brembo decals. Besides that
