VSA Lights Came On (3GTL Garage# D-046)
Tried to search but had no luck (Apparently VSA is too short a word to search on).
The snow started coming down today, the TL (even on stock tires) handled fine. I watched the VSA kick in a couple times while launching from a stop. No probs at all in getting where I needed to go.
On the way home, the VSA kicked in as I was turning onto a farm road (not plowed yet) and I watched both VSA lights come on and stay on. I tried toggling the VSA switch on and off a couple of times but nothing. I left a stop rather abruptly and, sure enough, no VSA. Has anyone else seen this? Is it possible some snow got in somewhere or am I completely boned?
Looking for input here guys this has been our first snow of the season and my first real test of the VSA.

when we had our slush/ice/snow storm last year, I took my TL out and beat the snot out of it, floored it, flew around a turn from a stop, slammed ont he brakes, pedal to the floor, it kicked in a lot, blinked the light, but never just stuck on. and I'm sure with what I did to it that I would have slung enough snow and slush and dirt on it and it didn't fail. wow, the first thing on my car not to break..

Yes, I would carefully flush the back of the wheel with lukewarm water with a little liquid soap or car wash in it. If thre sensor or the ref marks get dirty, the ABS, and hyence the VSA/TC, can disable.

Alright, went out yesterday afternoon, turned on car and guess what?? No lights. I went ahead and flushed the back of the wheels and went out today apparently no worse for the wear. Everything appears normal. Hopefully it was a one time event.

This happened periodically on clear days over a period of a week to 10 days, would go away for a few weeks and return.
Turned out the brake lockout switch needed to be replaced.
At least one other member reported a similar problem / fix last year.

VSA & ABS Lights stay on
This happened to me on Sunday while driving in a minor amount of snow cover on a side street. While turning and braking the back end came around a bit and the VSA light came on. I made a stop, turned around in a sub-division and the lights stayed on - both the VSA and the ABS. Turned the car off. Lights still on. Came home read this thread and tried hosing off the sensors. No change. Took the car into the dealer today. RR sensor replaced. Back to normal. Love this car. But, I have to say I'm really getting annoyed by the low profile tires. I've switched out the BS to the Falken ZEIX. Better, but between the harder ride and tricky traction in snow, I'm thinking an RL would better serve my perf/comfort quotient.

This happened to me recently. And they have yet to go off. I was backing out of the driveway in about 6 inches of snow. The system kicked in, and the lights came on. The VSA, !, and ABS all on. They went off on the next stop and start. But came on again upon the next one. And they've been on ever since. I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to get it to the dealer. This week most likely. I've flushed the wheel and everything, toggled the switch, even pulled the fuses hoping for a reset, and all 3 are still lit up. We've had some ice and snow since, and you don't know how much you miss the traction control and ABS until it's gone. Especially on a recent icy road morning. I was a little concerned heading to work. I had to keep plenty of distance, and remember to pump the brakes, like in the old days if I had to.
