Vinyl wrap - cost?

I love my car but am getting tired of the color...I don't want to get the car repainted because of the cost so maybe wrapping it cheaper? Does any have their car wrapped or know someone that does? If so, can you please let me know the ball park for wrapping a car? Thanks!

Either save up your money to get it done correctly, or don't do it at all.

Vinyl looks cheap (when you wrap your whole car with it).

Re-paint it or drive to Texas and I can give you a good price on a 3 stage paint job.

First post ftw

To get it done right, I've heard it can cost upwards of $5-6k (entire vehicle). Of course there will be cheaper places out there, but you get what you pay for.

Vinyl on a whole car looks garbage compared to a paint job.

Color selection of vinyl is limited compared to color selection in a paint job.

Not to mention vinyl will never have that shiny reflective paint color like a actual paint job.

too expensive for what it is I think. I would do it more for protection of a really expensive car than to just change the color. If you do it yourself, then you save a lot of money.

That's pretty cheap. Is that labor AND materials cost?

that's really really cheap. I would be worried about the quality of work if that includes labour and everything. I got a quote for just enough vinyl to cover my car at around 800-900$.

Here in NY its around 2k. My friend vinyl wrapped his 335i matte gray. The vinyl cost was cheap and he finished everything in three days. It was his first time working with vinyl.

Here is another guy that did DIY. It cost this dude under $150. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=376442

The BMW does look good.

I'd still like to try to do mine in a Carbon Fiber wrap....
