unlock doors

Quick question - When you turn off your car, how do you set it to unlock all the doors? Right now the car just unlocks mine(driver) automatically. Any way I can set the car to unlock the passanger and the rear all at the same time when i shut off the car?

for the door unlock setting there is a option for unlock driver or all doors. there is also a setting for unlock doors engine shut off(6MT) put in "P"(5AT). when this is set in conjunction with the first option it will unlock all the doors when the engine is turned off or in the park position.

On the dash to the right of the wheel press the <Right Arrow> key to Keyless Memory Setting. Hit <Select>. There are settings in there for "Door Unlock." You can choose for them to unlock automatically when you shift to park, turn off the ignition, or not at all. You'll also be able to select driver's door only or all doors for the unlock.

That's not verbatim on the options you'll see on the MID, but should get you there. Hope it helps.

You probably has your remote (FOB) set to unlock only the drive door when pushing unlock button once (second time unlock all doors)... try change setting in MID to unlock all doors.

Just to clarify...the setting on the MID for "unlock driver's door only" vs. "unlock all doors" applies to both the first press of the FOB and the unlock action you've selected for parking/turning off the engine.

The problem is, a lot of us like having the first press of the FOB unlock the driver's door only, but would prefer that all the doors unlock when stopping the car. As far as I know, there is no way to have this combination. Ron A, we've discussed this before, I think. Any comment?

Right you are, tlgator. The action of the door locks when shifting are dependent on the way the key fob unlock is set. If the key fob is set to unlock only the driver’s door, then, when you shift from Park or reach 10MPH, all doors will lock, but when you shift back to Park or Turn the ignition off, only the driver’s door will unlock. So, as you said, there is no way to have the combination you described.

MikeyK-Is your keyfob linked to the MID? When you press Lock and Unlock at the same time, if the red LED flashes once it is linked, and if it flashes twice it is not linked. If it is not linked, it will only open the driver's door regarless of the MID settings.

I was able to figure it out. I wasnt trying to get ym key fob to do anything - it already works exactly the way i want it - i click for driver, 2 clicks for everyone. I was concerned with getting the doors to unlock on shutoff. When i was asking, I had only my drivers dorr unlocking when turning off the car. Now after following the instructions above, all the doors unlock. I didnt realize you could select a selected setting. Lot of stuff in that MID. Thanks for the help guys

But...maybe I'm confused...you're saying that now, when you turn off the car ALL FOUR doors unlock, but when you press the unlock button on the FOB once, only the driver's door unlocks? Are you sure? That doesn't seem possible.
