Type-S Tails for $157
Type-S Tails for $157
Just wanted to share some information with everyone. I came across this site that is selling the Type-S Tails for $157 after shipping. This price does not include the side markers though, which can be found on E-bay for about $110. I believe it is still cheaper then any GB I was able to research.
Autolights4u.com is where I found them. They give Acura OEM part numbers for the lights, which do match up. They are a few dollars cheaper if you buy each tail seperate, within the same transaction.
Just add the right, then the left into your cart.
They also have a set on E-Bay, and even in their E-Bay listing, there is NO mention of DEPO. Thought I would share if someone is looking for them.

^^ I did that on an ebay auction...did not say depo and they were :-( And they dont fit well either so now I have my Type-S lights waiting to be installed but I am too lazy to take off my bumper
meh, depo's are fine. I ordered a pair and was dissapointed w/the fitment, but I messed with the mounting screws (placement, tightness) and now they fit perfect. It just takes a bit of work - I imagine I'd have to fuss w/my stock tails to get them in just right again too...
is the quality of plastic and or coloring any different than the oem type S tails? The fitment issues I've read on here don't seem to be a big concern to me. Typically the aftermarket stuff tends to be made with cheaper thinner plastics and just tend to feel overall cheaper when comparing side-by-side.

Great find...thanks for sharing! I got lucky and a member on here sold me their OEM ones for $105 shipped...they were scratched but I buffed that out. Fedex cracked one of the edges of one of them and for that I put in a claim, and was awarded $110 (cost of the cheapest single lens I could find on ebay). After the 2 weeks it took to get the claim approved I realized that the little crack wasn't a big deal and not that noticeable.
Sooo...I ended up basically getting paid $5 for to GET type S tails. Good stuff.

From what I understand, in the DEPO light, the black trim color in the light (not exactly sure what color it is) is slightly lighter in color than the OEM ones. Besides that and some fitment issues, I don't think there are any differences at all.
so timb227 the light that you order from that link is the depo light or the OEM lights? I want to order them but want to be sure what they are first?
Depo lights really dont look all that different. The fitment is usually a problem but then again not all the OEM ones will fit perfectly either. I think its more of a "buying genuine parts to raise trade in value...etc."
Just a question for people that have had both DEPO and OEM. On the lens of the light, the DEPO ones will say DEPO correct? And the OEM ones will say what? Just so I know what to look for when I receive them.
