Trunk Release is not working but it works with Remote

I just bough 2004 Acura TL and this is my first Acura. So far I like the car so much.

Today, I found out that I could not open the trunk using the trunk release under the steering wheel. I can open it using the remote key. Any one knows if this can be fixed easily. I just don’t want to go to the dealer and spend all of unnecessary money.

I just tried it when I get off from my house to go to work. I have not done more investigation. I tried it when the engine is on and off, both condition the trunk release does not work but it works using remote.

I appreciate your help,

acurasienz

i know what your problem is... open your glove box... ignore that switch right there... instead pickup the leather case, and read the damn book inside of it

Thank you for the replys, I would never imagine that this car has the switch in the box. I just bought this car and only have it for few days.

However, the switch was off so it was supposed to work but it was not. I played with it couple time restarted the engine, opened with remote and suddenly it is working.

It has been couple day and It is working now. Again, Thank you
