Trunk Deck Lid Spoiler (Location to apply?)

I just ordered a trunk lip spoiler. When you go to apply it do you guys measure it up where to put it? I want it to be flush with the lines of the trunk. I'm just worried since you may only get 1 shot with the 3M adhesive tape. Guess people use painters tape and go from 1 end to other end then pray it lines up flush at the edge.

You'll be fine just don't worry so much, just take some good measurements and have a buddy help you out.

Looking to buy one soon... Ty

Great price here. When I bought mine from them I think I paid closer to $140 shipped.

I got this one. Comes with a template so you can line up everthing. Install was pretty easy using the template but you do need to drill two holes in your trunk. It also includes a new trunk spring thats supposed to handle the extra weight of the spoiler. But I haven't installed it yet.

That's a good price, but I'm not big on drilling holes in my car's sheet metal. The 3M tape is like freaking armor.

It uses 3M tape and two small bolts. I was a bit nervous at first about drilling the holes but the template got everything lined up perfectly and for some reason I really like having 'OEM' parts.

i got mine in today. I got the cheap $40 painted and shipped lip. I will see how cheap the quality is. It's not as thick as the oem spoiler. Paint seems ok. Have to see how it looks on the car.

i attempted to line it up today. weather was too cold. the lip wasn't flexing much and i got worried the adhesive tape wouldn't bond well. the lip definitely needs to be curved to line up with the trunk shape. waiting for a sunny and warmer day but we just got 8 inches of snow yesterday. don't see it happening anytime soon.
