Why would I stop when the thingy clicks? That means they're not filling my tank. Still another 4 gallons to put in the hose running to the tank.

But I can go .24 miles further by squeezing in that last .1 gallon. I think that code is the fuel cap code.

On one of my previous TL's I always used to sit at the pump an extra 5+ minutes trying to get all that extra fuel in. I did it all the time and never once had an issue or got any codes. Some people will say its bad for your evap system, but again ive never seen it. I dont do it anymore on my current TL, but the only reason is just to save myself the extra time at the pump so im not sitting there holding the damn thing forever.
It is kind of ridiculous though that once the pump clicks there is still a good 3+ gallons left to go.

Well I read it on a Honda site. A guy got that code and a reply asked him if he overfilled the tank . I assume he didn't pull that diagnosis out of his butt. I did go a few extra clicks at the pump to round off my dollar amount.

how about get a OBDII scanner and pull to see the real cause that trigger the code, FIY if you have 07 some of them will throw code as engine running lean and will need to be reprogrammed by dealer.

P1454 code came back on today. I tightened the gas cap.
The code on my OBD 2 says: Manufacturer controls / auxiliary emission controls....
