I search from time to time for Acura RL's
The last search I found was a low mileage but had an accident on passenger so I ran..
Took a month break and ran into this one
I am located in MetroWest Orlando
The car is in Lakeland (50 min Drive) and is certified Used
2006 Acura RL w/Tech Package
Listed price is $20,800
Color Dark Pine (What I want, hate the flood of Silver/Metallic)
2 Owner/No Accidents/49,101 Miles
The Kelly Blue Book Value is 25,460..!?
Asked the previous Owner if they were a smoker. The sales rep on the phone said yes but its very faint and they have a machine but other people don't notice it.
Here is the Autotrader Link http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...aptcha=success
Is this too good to be true.....
And does anyone live near that area in Lakeland or in MetroWest that take a ride with me

those are very nice tires for someone who is performance minded.
Run a CarFax, AutoCheck, make sure you get the extended AcuraCare warranty (good before 50k is up), as long as it hasn't been wrecked this is a good enough deal to beat down another grand or two
If you can't find anything fishy...it's a good car. Extended warranty helps you sleep at night too.

Haha appreciate the info
They included the carfax which looks good No Accidents etc
Will have to pay for the Autocheck
She stated the Panel to Panel is 50K
Powertrain is 6 Years/70K Miles
How much does the Extended Warranty cost..?
Will have to get that
She also said with Tax & Title 23K flat out the door from the listed $20,800
Will see if I can Bargain here..
Any other things to look out for....?

I don't think it's too good to be true. That KBB value seems a little high for this market. While there aren't that many nice used RL's available, they also don't seem to be flying off the lots either. I got mine one year newer with almost half the mileage for $5k more. It does sound like it's worth a 50 mi drive to check out.
extended warranty cost me $1800 for 4 years/120k and I am almost at the 50k mark. I got 18 months 0 interest and no tax
it's definitely worthwhile for the peace of mind and the best warranty out there, nobody else is going to use Honda/Acura parts plus the dealers are generally good at fixing what they break, as opposed to other smaller companies who actually have a bottom line to worry about.

unfortunately, carfax is not always accurate. they only report what is reported. Although its legally required to report repairs over a certain dollar amount, you can usually find someone who won't report it.
Always look for the VIN on all the body panels.

checking body and all gaps goes without saying. Anything that doesn't reflect right, doesn't seem the right color, any panels that are missing, anything that seems tampered with...
it's a headache...but it's worth it. Especially if you have to drive 50 mi for it.

good idea before going is to:
1. Get bigger pictures
2. Ask them what maintenance the car currently needs, as indicated by "I"
3. Get a full photo of the year the car was made, the year is currently missing

I appreciate all the help
It looks like it will be a 2 trip thing
1st trip Fri Morning
Then next trip Sat
The reason for the 2 trips is not to get over excited and take my time
I will definitely buy the Carfax 5 car Package
Idk about the autocheck yet..
Besides the door panels,Driver Side window and Hood where else can I find the Vin# on the body panels..?

I will make a call tomorrow and ask if all the recalls has been performed
And for any upcoming maintennance
Assuming its a Certified I would think so but just making sure
There are larger photo's on the website itself 17 I think
The Driver side Leather looks a little worn..they said they had an upholstery guy...

No one mentioned so far that this RL does NOT have the Tech Package. In 2006, Tech Package meant having Active Cruise and CMBS and PAX tires.
Just FYI...
