this has happend 3 times in past 2 weeks..turn ignition and nothing...not even the starter rolling over. tried again still nothing...about the 4th time car starts. so i turn off and start again..whoop no problem..starts right up.
about 3 days later..same thing. now just this morning..same thing happend. get in turn ignition and nothing. keep trying and on 3rd or 4th try whallla..it starts. has this happened to anyone else??

 

Well I had something similar occur, but not exactly. For like a week my car exhibited strange behavior when starting. the clock would blink 1:00, and it took a few turns to start her up. I had to have it flat bedded and then have the battery replaced by the dealer.

Car has 2000 miles on it.

I would strongly suggest getting your car looked at by the dealer!!!

 

Just out of curiosity was your door open when you tried to start the car?

 

ya go to the dealer thats not right.i can start mine with the radio on and the door open(i just did it to see someone mentioned it)

 

Well in the manual it states that due to emission control devices the car may be hard to start at times.

 

my car got same problem before... it happened so many times at the first severl monthes... (last Dec. to this Aug.)

but the problem seems has gone automaticly since this September... never happened after September...

maybe my emission control is broken??? lol

i think if u turn ur key to the "second place" wait for few seconds... then turn to the "third place"
to start the car , that maybe help alot...

The answer to your question lies in the 3G garage, the stickied link at the top of the main 3G TL forum page; it is one of the most frequently asked questions on the forum. In addition, JDM5 also states the correct answer from the manual. As I say every time this thread comes up, we just have to crank a little longer for the environment.

NoDoze's problem is clearly different and should be taken to a dealer. Keep us posted?
