Trick to removing lower back seat?

Is the a trick to removing the seat cushion on on the back seat? I thought it was just pulling the tab on the bottom front of the seat, but I can't seem to get mine to come free? Don't want to break it, I have pulled straight out with no luck. Any suggestions?

Can exactly remember how to remove it, but I would say be careful with those tabs that hold the seat down. Mine managed to break awhile back and they are like plastic so be extra careful.

Have you removed the seat cushion bolt? From the 3G garage:

I am not actually trying to removed them, just make sure they are in their correctly. One side the tab was not hooked at all, I got that one hooked. The other side doesn't feel real tight so I think it was hooked wrong on the tab. I just wanted to removed the tab and hook it again. All this is do to the dealer working on the car and not replacing the cushions correctly. I am done with letting the dealer work on my car, just want to get these in the right and call it good. On one side the tabe was easy, the other it seems like it is stuck?

I got my replaced at the dealership, I think the dealership broke mine due to them messing around in my rear seat when fixing something. So they ended up fixing it for free, and getting replacement parts for me for free. If you are under warrenty try using it for that.

to remove the tabs, slide your hand in and grasp the side tabs and squeeze. While squeezing, you have to push down on it with your other hand and pull out. (slide your second hand on top of the tab and push down while squeezing the sides of the tab with your other hand)

or you can just push down on the seat cushion directly on top of the tab...either way works

Yes there is a definite trick to this. I have done this so many times and broke a clip once myself to learn as well. As said you need to grasp that tab but the most important thing to remember is there is NO way that tab will release unless you PUSH DOWN on the seat! It sounds counter-intuitive but that's how it works. Push down on the seat and pull the tab outwards. The seat actually comes out so easily once you learn the trick. I was never able to replace that stupid bolt, the tabs are what are keeping the seat in for now. It's just fine that way. I can get my back seats out in about 2 minutes now.

By the way does anyone know how to remove the tab from the car if you have broken it? I looked at it after I broke it but it looked like there was no easy way out and I deemed it would take quite a bit of time. I was in the middle of another project so I decided to take care of it later. It looks like it is tabbed in itself in a one-way manner. I didn't want to scratch up the car by prying with a screwdriver. Looks like I am going to have to drill or cut it out? Any other painless/scarless methods?

I used a pair of tin snips to cut off the part that is inside the car. I tried prying but couldn't get it past the tab!

I don't know how to remove it when it is broken, but do you remember when we met at the stealer ship in Morton Grove that was the time when they broke mine and I was what in the world, can't you guys be more careful? so they changed them and did not get a chance to see how it is done.
