i noticed that during a cold start in the morning, my transmission REALLY lags. it took well over 1 whole second after i put it in Drive for it to actually move. once i drove about a block it got better though. maybe this racing atf isnt so good before it warms up

As a racing fluid, my guess is it is designed for extremely high temps, so when it's cold out, the stuff might be sludgelike...or at least not 100% effective. A good reason to blend it with d4 during the winter time perhaps.

Racing is type f. Lightweight racing is type f. D4 is DexIII. If you mix the thicker racing fluid with anything it should be lighweight racing.

Type F is the best thing for our TLs.

The 3rd gear pressure switch helps speed up engagement from neutral to drive.

1 second when cold sounds fine. I bought my car brand new and it's always had that kind of delay.

The delay when using manual mode is completely different than the delay when putting it in gear. There's nothing you can do for the manual mode delay. It's been brought up plenty times all the way from '04 on here.

just finished the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches, definitely reduced the lag when shifting manually. i dont need to shift super early to not bounce off the rev limiter anymore.
