Don't feed the...WTF?
Did they change the limiter for the newer TL's? I have an '04 and I believe it is 152 top speed. I've had it to just over 140 before I backed off. A long straight road isn't all that long at a buck-forty.

is this 132mph a top speed limiter or is this just a speed that it starts to struggle to go any further, cuz with the minor mods I got i've hit 135mph and backed off but pretty certain i would be able to go further if i didnt run out of space

That said, I have only taken my car up to its top speed once (after I put the ATLP on), and hit roughly 135 mph (07 TL-S 6MT) before the speed limiter kicked in. I was in 5th, around 5000 - 5500 RPM (I think?...). Was still pulling pretty well.I don't really drive like that though, kinda grew out of that (plus after rolling my first Integra three times at 120mph when I was 19 you learn your lesson quickly to be thankful for someone watching over you...)
Won't lie though that just once I would like to see what mine could do with no speed limiter, on an open, safe, and legal road.

He has a 6MT just for the record...
i pushed my 06 3.2TL to about 135-140mph before...
In all honesty... there is just no good given reason to go that fast.... I wont lie, I have done it in the past... but probably never again
Ive reached an age, where i realize driving like that is foolish & pointless... aside from putting yourself and your passengers in danger, you put all the people on the roads around you in danger. Go to the track if you wanted to max out your car
Sure, we all think we can handle the car at that speed.. and i bet most of us can... but what if
- Your tire blows out
- A car switches into your lane
- Debris flies towards your car
- You hit a puddle, or pot hole
- YOU GET PULLED OVER - that should be a fun ticket to explain to the judge
Im not trying to rant, flame or cry over this.... I just want to give my opinion...

Loving my 08 TLS!
I went over 135mph on my 02 TLS when I was racing a Saab 93 turbo back in my early 20s. Now I haven't push my 08TLS over 90mph. Life changes after you are married and with a 3 yr old. Now I spend most of my time envying people with minivans since I need more room.

lol some of you are still missing the point, I'm glad your base can go faster... any car can go fast, the difference is in acceleration... I don't need to break 130mph to go around someone... TL-S

when you think about it, eventually EVERY automotive manufacturer will reach a point when cars will have the same speed\acceleration as everyother car, then they'll just depend on looks\luxury\milage\ tech options.
