Today's Poll - Who Hates Poll's?

I can't be the only one who's annoyed by the sophomoric polls polluting the top of our forum listings. Can I?

I don't hate the polls but I think there should be a separate forum for them. The way they are now, they are scattered throughout this forum and if they had their own forum they would be easy to find.

Most are good to make informed decision for other members. But they should be sorted first after sticky so people can skip them if want to.

Agreed! And I'd add to that....

There should be a forum specific to TL "Issues, Quality Problems, and Gripes" so that we could stick to the more important conversations. If I hear one more person complain about their headliner drooping, I don't know what I'll do.

Unhappy

Skip and ignore. Don't read them. Leave them alone.

Besides the issue of POLL, I don't want to read any more headliner issue, either, but have to say the first couple of headliner threads did help me figure out what's going on. Things bothering me are ppl (more than 1) asking the same topic at the same time. The problem is everyone likes to get answers to their own questions.

I suggest having time for Boss to fix SEARCH feature, and encourage newbies to seek their answers.

Also, if ppl don't like POLL, please just read it and do not vote it.

Some POLLs are meaningful, but some of them are not. There is no way to find the neutral standards to justify whether or not this poll is good. If ppl do hate this feature, the best way is to block it and let it be in the Off Topic forum. When worthful, Boss could move any specific POLL to where it belongs to.

A poll about polls?

If a poll is redundant, or the subject has been covered to death, just bring it to our attention, and we can make a decision as to whether or not it belongs in that section of the forum. It wasn't all that long ago that polls were prohibited in all sections except Off Topic, and people complained about not having them in other sections. Now it seems as if half the front page is full of them at times, so hopefully things will even out after a short while.

When deciding whether or not to start a poll in 3rd Gen TL, just check the Common TL Topics and Questions section to see if the subject has already been covered there. You can also use the search feature as a good reference. Lastly, make sure the poll is 3rd Gen related if you are going to start it in this section, otherwise pick the proper section for your poll.

I will leave this one open for a little while incase anyone would like to express their point of view, but then it will be closed as it does not belong in this section.

I have only benefitted from polls. I just wish they were more specific.

Minority, sure. But 26% of those who responded agree with me that they're useless.

That's 1 in 4. That's more than those who purchased a NBP TL. Statistically, more than significant.

IMHO, an annoying poll is no different from an annoying thread. They're easy to avoid...

Perhaps, Boss could only authorize Poll features to certain level of users... such as guys having post counts more than 300...?

I miss the Type S forum ... we used to talk about performance .. modding, ... track experiences, etc. This forum is getting way too nit picky for my tastes...

I still find homage in the Cl forum ... those guys know what's up.

PeterUbers- The old TL, and specifically the Type S, was more of a youthful vehicle catering to the "it's cheaper to buy a TL-TS than mod my Accord" crowd. The new TL is clearly going after the old Legend buyer and is catering to an older audience. It stands to reason that they (we) care less about track experiences (huh?), modding (no need), and performance (secondary to luxury) and are a bit more nitpicky. Droopy headliners, creaks, misaligned glove compartment doors, Zainomania.....all point towards my theory being somewhat correct.
