I've seen the amber turn signal lenses up here a couple times. It's funny how most of us break out the amber from our headlights to get rid of the amber, and then some people are looking to put in back in. lol. I think it's just all about wanting to be unique and having something different.

The main issue on the lights in that pic is that those are YELLOW. Like fog-light yellow. It should be more of an amber color. I still think a clear lens with an amber LED bulb is better.

BY THE WAY, a little tip for all you guys that I learned from another AZiner long ago. Did you know that even if you have the standard red tail light lenses, if you use amber LED bulbs the light will actually light up AMBER! You don't need cleared lenses. I always thought that red (being a more dominant color) would drown out the orange and make the light red. Nope. It actually lights up amber, really cool, it's almost like an optical illusion. I've had it set up on my car this way for a long time.

There are certain years of BMWs that have amber LED signals behind red lenses and they also work this way.

that's awesome, rocky...I do recall finding that out too...
but never really thought much about it since I was trying to go red.
I will say that 6K white switchbacks behind amber front reflectors light up green though...know your primary colors!

Yep that would make sense because of course there is no true white LEDs, they are a variation of blue ones. So there is that slight hint of blue in there and mixed with amber will just look blah.

Actually, I don't think it's blue mixed (color additive) with amber. Rather the amber will act as an optical filter (color subtractive) on the blue-hued LED. Depending on the quality of the LED, it'll likely result somewhere in the sickly green/yellow range of light.

But I might be wrong and it's probably just semantics.

i had a slightly yellowing set of headlights, i swear the morimoto bulbs i slapped in there looked green to me, so that makes sense.
