Is the TL ride too harsh??

I drive a 350Z with Tein Flex Coilovers, and my wife now drives a 2001 SAAB 9-5 Aero with sport tune suspension. Her lease is up, and we went and test drove the TL. I love it, but my wife says the ride is bumpy. Any female owners here with thoughts and long term review on that?

I am trying to persuade my wife to get the TL, after all, it will be her car, and she has "some" say in it..... :p

Here is what I drive......

My wife doesn't think the ride is bumpy at all. I've never been in a Saab, so I can't compare the ride, but from your wife's response I suspect it is much smoother than the TL, even "sport tuned".

Nice Z, by the way

wow the Z is awesome...i would have gotten that if it wasn't for the stupid snow here in the NE. but i have to say the TL ride is nice and soft, very comfortable. its not boaty like a large sedan but does absorb most of the bumps and dips. my previous car had a sports suspension and that was harsh. this is like down pillows compared to that.

I'm a woman, and I test drove the 2003 TL-S and 2004 TL.
I felt like the 2003 was very bumpy and stiff, but the 2004
had a nice combination of road feel and smoothness.

FYI, my husband has an RSX-S . . . now that's a stiff, bumpy
ride!

Ha ha...thanks.......can't have 2 2-seaters in the family......besides, the Z really wasn't all that well made. I love it, but the rattles are countless because of all the plastic they use...... Have to turn up the music/radio to cloud out the rattles.....which I don't mind!

Moodie I just traded in my 350Z for the '04 TL. The TL's ride is very smooth. Does your wife drive a standard tranny? If she does then I highly recommend the 6MT. The TL's pick up is sneaky fast much like the Zcar, just not as primal from the exhaust note.
I agree about the build issues with the 350Z. Looks like you may be in line for some new tires, whether that's the resolve for the feathering only Nissan knows for sure.
Good luck with the Z and your decision on the TL.

Maybe the tire pressure on the demo TL was set too high. Go back and test drive it again.
