geeez, g35 vs tl threads get so hostile....

Having driven both the g35 sedan and the TL (well owning a TL) I actually thought G35lover's post was quite fair and accurate.

Although it is kinda weird to register with the name G35lover to make a post praising the TL haha

edit: that RobertLangdon guy is a piss-off. He has insiders at honda? Yeahhhhh okay.... I'm only 17 and even I dont make posts telling people to "STFU"

I test drove both G35 (Auto & Manual), and TL (Auto & Manual). G35 is nice, but I like TL better. I do not race, and certainly do not push my car to 8/10 of its limit, so I don't care about FWD and torque steer vs benefit of RWD. The TL is just a better car for me.

Funny thing, I have a couple of friends who own the G35, I've even driven them myself for extended periods.... I'll still take my TL over their cars (works nicely in snow, better interior, getting better milage, fewer issues mechanically). That said there must be a reason that 2 of them are trading in their G35s for the TL.

In my travels I've come up with this...

G35 = more sporty
TL = More Luxury

that said, both have a bit of luxury and sportiness... for my needs I'll take the luxury anyday

Combustion chamber...

I usually go over there and read posts when I need a laugh or two.

There's very little substantive information on those threads but a whole lot of "belly bumping" and posturing, which is often fun to read, but I put little value on any of it.

This is, indeed, very interesting. I also prefer a RWD car for all of the obvious reasons and some not so obvious. But I will freely admit that the quality modern FWD cars are just fine in their own right.

One of my neighbors and his wife went looking for a late model used car this past week and the G35 was top on their list. The found one, a 2004, and the dealer is supposed to detail the car and have it ready for them tomorrow. If it meets with their approval, I expect to see it in their garage tomorrow afternoon. Guess he shouldn't read this article, eh?

He does like my car, but they didn't want to go more than $25K if possible and 2004 TL's are going for a lot more than that.

TL rocks !!!

I do a lot of work for a local Infinity dealer and drive the G35 all the time to and from the shop. I can't wait to get back into my TL after the G35 drive. Every G35 drive is just a reisurance that I made the right choice going with the TL.

Driven a 5AT TL and 5AT G35 back to back on a closed course at FedEx field parking lot in DC last year. Both nice cars with unique exterior styling

G35 + great motor, nice handling/chassis, very good brakes and steering
- poor shifting transmission, tacky instrument cluster/poor quality materials interior

TL + refined interior, great chassis, very good brakes and steering
- FWD understeer at cornering limits

I am starting to find that forum quite entertaining. Haha!! I have test drove the G and was not impress at all. Especially the interior and I agree the TL hands down for total package compare to the G.
