Hey all,

I have been viewing posts for some time now to get an idea of what to look for on my hunt for the perfect TL. I have narrowed it down to the 07-08 model or possibly an 06 if the price is too good to pass up. So here are a few questions that I would greatly appreciate some feedback so when I test drive cars this week, I don't miss anything.

-Is there a specific year that has the 3rd gear problem and how can I tell a car might have this?

-Anything else I should look for when driving/viewing the cars?

are these CPO cars at the dealer or cars off the street?

There are numerous threads on buying used cars

ck the VIN with acura 1-800 382 2238x5 for recall completion

If you are not a mechanic take it to one for inspection... no matter how clean it is

 

at dealer bypass salesmen who add to the price and will say anything to get you to sign
Call and get an appointment with the sales MANAGER

have your own finance in hand before setting foot in the dealer

 

Thanks man...there not CPO cars but they are from dealers. I'm going to check out one tomorrow that has great mileage and a great price. I don't have financing set up yet but I know I will get approved and I'm going to fill out the paperwork on Thurs...just hoping this carfax doesn't come back with some more BS.

I've been told that I should be able to get 10% off the sticker and 15% if I'm lucky - anyone confirm this? I will be a TL owner by end of week if thats the case
