Thinking back on it....Brake service job
A while ago I posted a thread asking memebers of AZINE what the problem could have been with my rear wheels... There was a slight squeal from my rear right wheel when I would make a right turn, which didn't make sense one bit. Eventually the squealing became more significant and it was apparent it was my brakes, so I took my car in to get it serviced at the ->LOCAL<- Bob Rohrman Acura.
When I got my car back, everything seemed fine, except my rpms would run a little bit higher than normal. The next day I just had arrived at my friends when I smelled this wierd burning odor. I examined my brakes, THAT I JUST HAD DONE, and it looked fine. I then began to touch my rotor to see if there was any snaggage. OUCH!
To make a long story short, I took it back immediately to the service department and had them look at it. They then proceeded to tell me that I needed new brake pads and my rotors serviced AGAIN for 800 smackaroos.
I told them to shove it up their ass and got new rotors, pads, calipers and had them put on by one of my personal mechanics. The price tag ended up being only $375.
The final problem was locked up calipers.
Looking back on the whole situation, when Bob Rohrman Acura put on the new pads they would have known the rotors were locked up right? I will NEVER take my car to get any mechanical work done at another dealer. ONLY SERVICES.
Are they allowed to do this? Did they really try to F#@k me?

It was the caliper that was seizing up, not the rotor. What exactly did the dealer replace for you, just the pads? In any case, they would have had a hell of a time putting new pads in if the caliper was seized... hmm...
They would not have been able to put on new pads if the caliper was seized up. You need to force the pistons back to make way for the new thicker pads to get around the rotor. That's when you normally discover a caliper is seized up and get it replaced. Doesn't make sence for them to try to get around it without just selling you a replacement caliper that would be needed if it was seized up. Glad you didn't give them anymore of your money though as they wanted way to much.

Anyone know what causes a caliper to freeze?
BOTH of my rear calipers froze, do they freeze at the same time?

BAHAH, that is some serious wear!! Hopefully his rotors don't warp. Not to mention that is the most annoying sound known to man.
