There it was...

I keep hearing alot of horror stories about waiting months for ordered TLs to arrive and :banghead: call after call to the dealer. My first trip to the Acura dealer and there it was. The first one I looked at and test drove was exactly what I wanted. A NBP with ebony, 6 MT, and Navi. It was perfect . No searching, ordering, or waiting. Just looked, went for a test drive, made the deal and brought her home. Anyone else have it that easy?

I did. Once I worked out the numbers with the dealer for a 5AT Navi we then talked about colors. I wanted to see what a white with parchament looked like up close so he took me out back.

I looked at the white one, looked nice but not my cup of tea. I then spotted the silver one and told him that's the one I want.

2 days later I was driving it off the lot.

Thanks on the congrats. At the time of my purchase, the dealer had only 2 6MT with Navi, both NBP with 1 ebony and 1 camel. 1 6MT non-Navi in Red, and about 20 with auto.

congratulations... I ran with the same luck, but I got an Anthracite instead of NBP.
with ebony interior and NAVI + 6MT.
Went in in a very stormy weather, so there were no other clients at the dealership, so they reduced the car $800 so I would take it right away, and a lot of freebies...

I didn't know they were so hard to get until I read this forum...

ejoy your car.... after 12,000 miles, I'm still in love.
Even people in Vipers and Mercedes stare at my car, it must be good.

I haven't got my NBP yet, but for awhile I was searching for an anthracite (loved the color!). The wait at that time at that particular dealer was about two or three weeks. But then all of sudden, my mind changed - I wanted the NBP! Now I have waited about three weeks for NBP at this other dealer. But funny part is, at the time I placed my order for NBP, my dealer had an anthracite for sale just sitting at the lot! That's the breaks!

Went to the dealer for a test drive and said I wanted a 6 speed. Salesman said "Wait, I have to go get it from the back." He drove around in a NBP/ebony with body kit and decklid. Test drove it and loved it. Drove it home two hours later.

You were lucky!!! These are the cars people are looking for and can't find.
When was this? and What dealer? That's what I had been looking for and calling all kinds of dealers a month ago. I had to have it ordered and it's suppose to be delivered today. Trailer picked it up from rail terminal this morning so just waiting for a call from my dealer.

Same experience here in Vegas. Called and checked inventory, they said they had a NBP/Ebony 6MT + NAVI. I made an appt that day to go and drive, and drove out that night with it.

I called the dealer, made an offer late Saturday night, went down to the dealer and got the car I wanted in 30 min. But then, that was in December before all the media attention. Needless to say that my TL was the second in my city. I suppose this is little different after the consumer report, car and driver and etc..

My TL looks just like yours - even the bra. Looks good on NBP. Little difficult getting the tab to slide in between the fender and the front facia (just front of the tires). Any trouble getting yours on?

In retrospect, I hate putting it on and taking it off before each wash so I only put it on if I know that I'll be driving the car long distance or in an area with lots of flying debris.

It's the same deal for me with the mask, but I like the different look it gives. I know what you mean with those tabs, pretty tight fit.
