The Best Buy I shop at used to have a pretty good selection of DVD-A discs. They had their own section and were not mixed together with the regular CDs. I haven't checked in a while, though.

I looked at many different places including the big stores like bestbuy, circuit city, target, borders etc. and all of them had none or if they did have any no one knew about it. I ended up having to order online. I found circuitcity had the best prices and a pretty good selection. Amazon.com was decent too but I ordered a bunch that said they would ship within 24 hours, and once the order went through they their status tracker said those discs would take at least a week before they shipped. The "ships by" date was actually accurate with circuitcity so I cancelled my amazon order and went with them.

I don't know if I would believe that or not. Granted - I have not checked in a year or two, but I have some pretty recent DVD-A's. Just a couple are Disturbed (the new one) and Linkin Parks Reanimation DVD.

Guys,

You won't find DVD-A's in Best Buys anymore. Here in KC, they also had their own section with a decent selection. But I was told by a Best Buy executive that they aren't carrying DVD-A's anymore.

But you'll have to order them over the internet now. Here's a few places I order from.

Acoustic Sounds-http://store.acousticsounds.com/category.?section=dvd&ID=6&keywords=g_dvd_audio

5.1 CD's-http://www.5point1.com/index2.html

DTS Store-http://www.dtsonline.com/shopping/catalogue/music.php

Amazon-http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_gnr_aps?ie=UTF8&search-alias=aps&field-keywords=dvd%20audio

Plus, someone posted the link for CD Universe.

Bottom line....if you can find something like the "Love" CD from the Beatles-get it !! That will be the latest form of a DVD Audio disc. They'll say Surround Sound or 5.1 Audio on the discs. There are some great discs that are done in DVD Audio-and they'll sound great in your car. The format just never caught on, even though there were a couple of re-incarnations of the format. But get them while you can. I would doubt that they will be restocked online once they are gone.

Disturbed's 'Believe' was on DVD-A. Don't think the current album is though '10,000 Fists' and don't think the new album next month will be either.

Or am I wrong?

You're probably right. I'm not sure the name of the album I have now - I'll check and let you know if this contradicts anything though.

Guys, I just bought the NEW "Heart of Chicago" DVD Audio disc. Got it for the girlfriend. It comes out next week-I got mine on Buy.com. I also picked up "Exile on Mainstreet", which is the Greatest Hits DVD-Audio disc from Matchbox 20.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Unfortunately, there are already quite a few threads on here on DVD-A.

Please check out the 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ for links to DVD-A stores and recommendations.

Thanks.
