oh wow, just saw this now. these are back? everyone was asking me where to get em

great product, going strong for me for almost 5 yrs now. one of my best mods. always gets compliments. white is available? aw man, that was what I was crying for back in the day and settled for blue. no regrets and anyone who buys them won't have any either.

If you follow those directions you should have no problems, obviously you dont need to pay attention to the voltage regulators.

My car is an 08 by the way, here are some cliff notes

Door pin wires
--------------
These wires attach to the black wire you have from your harness. The circuit is open when the door is closed, and closed when the door is open; thus completing the cicruit.

Driver Front - Green (B pillar, right at the door pin switch)
Driver Rear - Green w/ yellow stripe (rear door sill wire loom, the yellow stripe is kind of hard to see)
Passenger Front - Green w/ red stripe (B pillar, right at the door pin switch)
Passenger Rear - Green w/ white stripe (rear door sill wire loom)

12v constant wire
------------------

These wires attach to the red wire you have from your harness.

Driver side - Gray w/ blue stripe (driver door sill wire loom)
Passenger side - Gray w/ blue stripe (passenger door sill wire loom)

^ I did not have a gray w/ blue stripe in my wire loom on my 08 TL base. I did not see it...I used white w/ red stripe instead.
So this means you need 6 wire taps correct?

you should replace the lights with the LED's....no more regulator noise + a lot brighter....you can contact Supercomputers...he will give you a good price for those

I was gonna start doing it this morning...and started to take off the B pillar...then said ah fawk it. I paid someone to do it, the place that installed my alarm, took them about 1 1/2 hours, did a good job at a hefty price...but it was sooo worth it!!! They look REALLY GOOD! it makes the car look more "classy" for. Lack of a better word. It looks like it had always belonged there. I am extremely happy with the white color choice. Doesn't look out of place, as im sure neither the other ones, now that I think about it. Red for TLS, blue or white for Base TL. Ok, enough gushing.

when i installed mines, the only b pillar i had to remove was the passenger side to find the wire for the passenger door switch, cause i couldn't find it in the door sill loom, other than that, all of the other wires can be found in the door sill looms

How did you test these under the hood? I'm having trouble installing these, so I wanted to test if they work...I just used the battery terminals and they didn't illuminate.

If anyone else can chime in, that'd be great. I connected the black wires to the door pin as in the DIY, and ran the red to 12v constants. I tried many different wires to tap into for the 12v, as per the various posts here and the DIY website (even the harness above the glove box). They just won't illuminate.

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe the polarities are reversed in my set? I have an 06 and the DIYs posted are for other years so maybe I have different colored wires?

This is irritating me because it's supposed to be such a simple thing. I'm not an electrical engineer, but I have plenty of experience in this type of thing (that is, simple taps following DIYs).

Edit: My harnesses have one black and one red wire to each clip, and the red wire is shared between both clips and each black wire is separate.

You just attach each harness to the door sills and just hook them up to the battery to test. Red to positive terminal black to ground terminal

I ordered blue and I received white ones...didnt even notice until after they were installed because a buddy of mine installed them. I obviously dont know what the blue ones look like exactly but im very please with how the white ones look, I think they might even be the better choice. It looks like they came with the car originially. Only problem is one of the leds do not work...is it possible it came not working or did he somehow break it? I'm bringing my car back to him monday and he said he would just fix it so I guess its not a big problem.

Some of the guys who installed throw up some pics!

If you have any warranty issues just shoot me a PM for a swap out.

Real low on white and blue only a few on each left. about 7 sets of red left.

Honestly its more vivid but its so hard to capture the blueness of the color. If anybody is around the Harrisburg area and debating how the blue looks like let me know I can show you in person.

front sill, day

rear sill, day

front sill day

front sill day

front and rear sill, night, no flash

front sill, night, with flash

ACTUAL look, night, no flash, front sill

ACTUAL LOOK, night, no flash, close up, front sill

THE WAY I WANT/SHOULD look, night no flash, front sill close up

Sometimes the camera makes it look blue, but this set of sills is WHITE.

The pics that are tagged ACTUAL look is EXACTLY what they look like, you see a very faint glow coming from the surrounding silver/grey part around the letters. It is not noticeable until you get real close and pay attention, this by no means takes away from the fact that they LOOK AWESOME! But I was thinking about going over the silver/gray part with a permanent metallic silver marker. I will do a little edge and check to see how it looks, if it improves it, I will do it all. If not, I'll leave it alone. There was one pic where it looked like the only light was coming from the letters, that looked even nicer. My car is Carbon Bronze Pearl, and these compliment the car so well. *please excuse the pics, they're from my nexus one phone, and hope I didn't take up too much space posting up these pics. Over all I am extremely happy! Everyone that has seen them thinks the same way as I do, this is the way the car should have came from the factory, and they look like they always belonged. Definitely a great mod/addition to the car. Hope they last FOREVER.

If we use rubber based epoxy to give these sills an extra tight seal how much of a bitch is it going to be to get the overlays off the original sills when the time comes? Wondering if I should just use some extra 3M tape instead...

^^ Thats only if your package came with one set of wires. You should have 2 sets (4 black connectors) total. Some people had missing parts when their sills arrived.

Alright, I received my second set of wires. Thanks SC! Hopefully Swoosh will have time to install and write up a DIY this weekend. I think I understand the wiring, but it's always nice to have a step by step to go by... Thanks in advanced!
