I'd like to hear how this trunk lip spoiler looks when you get it installed. This seller seems to have OK feedback on his ebay sales. Keep us advised.

holy crap I remember when xenonspecialist was selling the cheapest deck lid on ebay for around $100. Wow that's so cheap that it kinda makes me question the quality...

Well, I just received mine and the quality seems decent i guess...It seems like a rubber material that is kind of flimsy, but otherwise the paint seems to match perfectly.

I will install in a few days b/c of the rain and wind coming here tommorrow and will definetly post pics for those that are interested.

update:

Well, i finally had time were I would not use my car for 24 hours so I went out to install the spoiler...and hated it. I feel like an ass for not checking sooner, but:

1) The colors are not an exact match...the spoiler seems a few shades darker
2) It doesn't reach to the edge of the trunk...about 1/2 inch too short on sides.

I tried to contact xenon specialist for a refund. He responded saying he will give me $20 back to cover his cost of return/processing fee. I paid 40 + like 25 shipping...Why bother?

sorry to hear that man........hopefully xenon specialist can do something else for you....I'm still waiting for dealers to get the type-s spoilers in, or when eBay comes out with generic versions...

I have the same exact spoiler and let me tell you that it isn't the real thing. It's quite smaller than the factor deck lid spoiler; HOWEVER, it is a nice fit and the paint matches really well. But it isn't the same size. my

i bought mine from xenonspecialist too...and i recieved the spoiler like a few days after. It did fit on my '01 TL and the color of the spoiler really matched my SSM paint. So, if your a little short on your pockets..buying these will not hurt haha.

i recently purchased a similar decklid m3 style lip, i believe total price was 40 bucks plus shipping. it's held down by two strips of 3m tape and came pre-painted. i was THRILLED with the spoiler. i'd say go for it if you are still contemplating your purchase!

I had purchased from him for my wifes TSX it arrived and was over 1.5" too wide for the car, I finally got a refund after paying the shipping back and sending him pics to prove it was too long......not recommended

Sorry to hear about this man.

Have you considered an exchange instead of a refund. I mean a few members state that the paint match is really good, so it is possible you have a bad one. If it just costs shipping, I would try an exchanging it as an option.

If its not an option, time to wax the car.

To be honest, at this point I would rather eat the $65 I spent than ruin the beautiful TL's look with this ugly POS. Secondly, it seems as though he is ignoring my messages now...He could care less that I am unhappy with getting only $20 for a refund after spending $65.

It's been my experience that Ebay sellers rarely if ever give you a refund that's worth the effort. I would just take my lumps and call it lesson learned. Ebay can be a great place for bargains but can also really suck. Sorry to hear that the spoiler didn't work out for you. The TL is such a sweet car and anything less than a very very high quality component will just take away from its great looks.

Thanks to x420actionx for making this post. I had contemplated getting one of those spoilers after having seen how much the factory ones went for. I ended up getting an Acura wing spoiler for a reduced cost $400 which BTW is more than twice as much as anyone should pay for such an item. For me however it was a question of whether I would be happy with a knock off item or not. I paid my money and got the real thing. I'm happy and your experience (please don't take this the wrong way) makes me feel better about my decision.

So what are you going to do now? Are you fed up with the whole spoiler deal or are you going to get/try something else?

that its for my mods for the time being b/c quality is definetly more imporant than $$$$...especially the spoiler. I most likely am just going to let it be with xenonspecialist and eat the money I paid him...just too busy right now to worry about it~The best I can do is this, and tell everybody this experience wasn't pleasant.

btw, i am glad my poor experience helped you out...i, just wish I had found someone before making the purchase

Ok, so does the spoiler look like the factory one? Or is it the one that is like M3 style? How is the fitment?

Dude, someone mentioned teh spoiler being SSM and if your car is an 06 (judging by your join date) I'm thinking the paint would be different since the 06 silver is Alabaster Silver Metalic and not Satin Silver Metallic like the 04-05s. This would explain why the paint match was less than perfect......

The reason this comes to mind is jus yesterday I parked next to an 06 Silver TL (he had the TPMS) and mine looked a tad darker with a wierd bluish hint to the color of the car when parked side to side. I wanted to take a pic but was too lazy to go back to the car to get my phone.............. hmmm maybe nex-time.
