I think it is too red. Don't mine the shape, but get some white in there. White line in the middle for blinkers or something. Would add nice contrast. Just my humble opinion.

My other dream Car; Benz E500 (or E55) has a white stripe in the middle, and it looks better. Maybe somebody will come up with an aftermarket product. The previous TL's didn't get too many aftermarket parts, but this one I think it will, just because it's a lot sportier.!

ya i felt the same thing..but you know what i think, i think that they will do it next year or the following year...becuase every year they usually do upgrade a FEW LITTLE THINGS here and there...so i would not be surprised to see a white stripe in the taillight...i wouldn't be surprised to see turn signals mirrors...i would not be surprised to see the option to have AUTOMATIC UP AND DOWN for all windows...i think they will make these changes in the next year to add some variation...

 

True, last gen accord debuted in 99 and got new cleaner tails in 2000

 

I guess Acura saves those kind of things for the mid-generation updates. For example, the CL originally had an all-red taillight. The TL may get that in the '06 or '07 one ('04 + 3 years.)

Acutally, from a design point of view, the plainer the light, the more it merges into the overall design of the car. When they are too "busy" it distracts the eye from the car's design.

To me, the WORST new taillight designs are the silver and red Pokemon lights on the new Lexus cars, and others. Totally distracting, ruins the lines of the car.

Very funny. I don't think the taillights should change. They don't need anything different. Man, you guys have such hard-ons for the mirror turn signals. I don't like them as much as the lights that we have on the fenders and quarter panels, and I do expect those lights to be wired to blink next year.

The auto up/down of the rear windows will probably not happen.
