No, you're not stuck in the 80s, I've never really understood it myself.

I guess its one of those old things that has changed over time. You would never see a staggered set up on a old Taurus SHO or a Acura Legend.
The other is why are more car makers not making manual cars?

As i understand it people that run staggered set ups are usually going for form over function. Or looks over performance because lets face it the TL is no race car... But it is the best looking affordable car in my eyes

Another one to add to the list from two days ago - a Nissan Maxima with a "Z" badge on it. Really? Do you think you're fooling someone?

Today's discovery: A 1G Toyota Avalon with a "Turbo" badge in place of the "T" logo on the center of the trunk. Of course, to really top things off, the Turbo badge was silver while all other badging was gold.

I've seen a lot of stupid badges like this.

As for the Type-S badge... I definitely wouldn't do it, and I think it looks cheesy. But on the other hand, I like the Type S wheels, and I definitely like the Type S tail lights..So yeah I put them on my car.

I like all TLs. The Type S is nice, but the base is what I was willing to pay for. I don't feel like a "poser" with the Tails and rims, I just liked them better than what my car came with stock. Stock styling/upgrades > Most aftermarket

Staggered setups FTW. If I could afford a nice set, I'd do it.

I'm in the same boat. Except for another A-Zine member, everyone I see driving them is some random old guy/gal.

That was outstanding. A turbo, rotary, Mustang, with headers and pistons...special edition no less.

so... is it ok if I removed my Type-S badge from my TL Type-S so there's nothing there? I am impersonating a regular TL now.

Love how the guy in the video didn't even know what was under his own hood.

Reminds me of my mom who doesn't even know what the model name of her car is.

Seen on the freeway on 05/10/11 - a piece of crap Chevy Cobalt (is there any other kind?) with a "Toyota Racing Development" sticker on the back of the car. Oy.

I'm sure we could all pick out things we don't like about each others car, fact is , it's their choice , let them do what they like. One of the biggest problems with people lately is they all worry about everybody else. Worry bout you

+2 ..I love my base TL and no i wouldnt put a Type-S badge it looks tacky but i wouldn't judge someone who has it on a base TL. I go according to my own preferences and I respect those people who's got theirs.

I think you can safely sell your Acura now; that High Horse seems to be working out just fine for you.

It's a message board...lighten up.

Seriously, I'm starting to wonder what is wrong with people here in my hometown. Today (5/13/11), it was a base model Nissan Altima coupe (complete with plastic wheel covers) with...wait for it....GTR badges on it.

Oh, and no, I'm not "worried" about it.

I haven't actually seen the type s badge on the non type s model, but do see the honda emblem on rsx's a lot. I find it rather assinine...if you want a honda, buy a civic si. But all in all, I really don't care what other people do with their cars, if anything it is good for a laugh.

Oh geez. Lighten up. No one is "getting mad". We're mocking people for faking it; you get the difference, right?
